enjoy it before it's over

(super lengthy post)

Hi i've been enjoying school lately! Yesterday was quite fun, i wish i talked about it earlier. Anyway i haven't mentioned this, Pristine, Grace and I started going for morning worship! It starts at like 7.10am, so we don't really get to meet the OG now :( But i like attending worship, great way to start each day! :) So there was the Saints Eureka competition, 3 people from each class had to make an airplane and the plane which flew the furthest won! Lol we were nowhere close to winning :P But it's okay haha good job to Jonathan, Cheryl and Justina! We had a SUPER LONG break, Rachella and i drank coffee hoping that it would help us stay awake during lectures. I don't really drink coffee haha, in fact i kinda hate it. Yeah anyway WE WENT DAMN HIGH. Couldn't stop laughing and i felt super uncomfortable having to sit in my chair. I didn't realise that it was the coffee that made me feel so restless haha. Oh and we felt like super excited over NOTHING, as if we were on ecstasy :P Coffee does wonders!! Debo, Rachella, Fadhiilah and I were doing work outside the student lounge. Then we decided to go into the student lounge to play some games! Play Monopoly Deal and Taboo! IT WAS SUPER FUN :) Taboo was so intense my gosh, we kept screaming/laughing/shouting hahaha. 

Lit was scary because some people were late and Ms K didn't let them attend the lecture. They just stayed outside! After Lit she was catching people for their skirt and stuff. Got worried cause my skirt's folded :P Freakin ran to the toilet so that she wouldn't catch us for anything! I'm scared of her now kayy. She's the drama teacher-in-charge omg how to survive. Had house meeting afterwards, it was quite interesting & fun! :)

Anyway we had the CCA talk and sign up TWO DAYS AGO. Went for Choir and Drama auditions which were both super nerve-wrecking!! Kay Choir first, it didn't go that well haha my voice cracked on the highest note! Thank goodness it wasn't in front of a lot of people, just the conductor i think. Right but i still got in, received the choir camp form but wasn't sure if i wanted to join yet. Rachella went too although she's already in netball, she just went for like experience lah. Didn't even sign up for band as a back-up or anything haha, went straight to the drama booth. They auditioned me right after i wrote down my particulars! We were given time to look at the script (it was in the CC) and then we had to go up and act it out. I was with Nicole and we waited quite long for out turn, felt super nervous while watching other people act my gosh. Thankfully my audition went quite well!! :) But i think they don't really care about your audition lol everyone who auditioned got in. The drama teacher was telling us about how they have a production in May and that practices would get v intense and stuff. I'm honestly okay with that, it all sounds so exciting!! :) SO YEAP CHOSE DRAMA. Can't believe i'm not in band anymore haha. 

ABOUT TODAY: Our first lesson was PE and i seriously felt quite nervous because Grace said her teacher made her class run 1.6km and i haven't ran in ages!! BUT WE DIDN'T RUN YAY :) He just took our height and weight haha. After PE was break, we played Frisbee! :) Most of the class played. I was quite reluctant to play at first because 1) I suck at Frisbee and many of them are super good 2) I didn't want to go under the sun!! HAHAH but i still went Rachella was like "You're under the sun i'm so proud of you!" YAYY. IT WAS REALLY FUN :) Next was the MT Workshop, ugh Debo and I were so tempted to pon it but in the end we didn't. Such good kids! It lasted for one and a half hours omg. I just sat there and stoned because all the stuff they talked about are quite useless. 

Had drama in the CC right after Econs at 4pm. I'm officially in the CCA! Nicole decided not to join drama so i thought that i would be super lonely but thankfully i wasn't! 4 other J1s were there at first (not everyone confirmed that they're joining drama and some people had lessons) and we all didn't know one another, so we became friends :) The J2s are quite awesome! Super easy to get along with cause they're all fun and friendly people. Played games (blow wind blow, i have never, murderer and detective) so that we would get to know one another better. Then we actually started doing stuff related to drama, the drama teacher split the J1s into two groups and made us do an improv (improvisation i think). We were given a 'theme' and only a few minutes to discuss what we wanted to do. It's supposed to be v impromtu, without exact lines to rmb. He assigned one J2 to each group to act with us. We did comedy the other group did drama. Afterwards the J2s did an improv, they are so good. I think my group did quite a good job lah, considering it was our first imrpov. Learnt a lot from it, it was a really fun and enriching experience! :) 

Rushed home because i was going for dinner with my family to celebrate my older cousin's bday! We ate at this Jap restaurant :) I'm feeling damn tired noww. Want to sleep but i'm still watching tape nooo. Will sleep in approx 20 mins haha. Okay cya! :)

Catching my breath

 HI TIME TO UPDATE MY BLOG AGAIN :) Shall talk about Saturday when i met up with my dear secondary school mates! 

With nothing to do in the afternoon, i finally decided to dye my hair back to black! Kay it's not really black. it's actually dark brown, but more accurately 'black tea brown'. Ugh i'm missing my highlights alr :( Can't believe that i was daring enough to actually do it ALL BY MYSELF. It was quite a crazy/interesting process. The smell of the chemicals was so overwhelming oh my gosh, up till yesterday it was still lingering. Got stains on my hand and my face lol, Pearl warned me about that. I'm actually quite happy that i didn't dye it properly haha, cause there are still streaks of lighter brown here and there. Other than that my hair looks really black now compared to how it looked previously :( Oh well i'll try to get used to it!! 

Went to Grace's church for service which was at 4.30pm. Went there by bus and i got off two stops early, so dumb omg. But i still got there before 4.30pm yay :) Anyway it was good!! The speaker was so engaging, wasn't struggling to pay attention to her. I was honestly very touched by the message, didn't expect it to be so relevant to me! Actually teared TWICE during the whole thing, wasn't expecting that either. God is truly divine, i'm so glad that i decided to go! :) 

Service ended at about 6.30pm and that was the time we were supposed to meet the rest for dinner. Star Vista is quite near to SJSM so yeah didn't take us long to get there. Met Min Li, Nic and Rachella somewhere near the food court. Was overjoyed to see Nic!! I'VE MISSED HER :(

Walked around (Divya hadn't arrived yet) trying to decide what we wanted to eat for dinner. Couldn't really come to a decision haha. We were more focused on talking about our JC lives instead of seriously looking for somewhere to eat! Kay someone said that the food in the food court sucks so we chose not to go there at first. Haha but then we really didn't know where to go so ended up at the food court! That's when Divya joined us yay :) Missed her loads too!! 

Bought food and i had a lot of fun exchanging stories with Nic about JC. I knew she would have tons of stories to share which was partly the reason why i was so excited to see her! :) We need to go out again (like just us 2) and spend the entire day talking about JC life hahah.

Divya and Rachella went off after the 'photo-taking' and so it was just the 4 of us. Hahaha we were using twitter. 

Next we went to Awfully Chocolate!! Is it surprising that i have never tried their ice-cream before?? Anyway i'm not a huge fan of chocolate ice-cream so yeah didn't think it was THAT good. But i agree with Grace and Li that it's super chocolatey! Anyway so nice of the person to give us more ice-cream, it's only supposed to be two scoops but looks more like 3 to me :)

Went to Gong Cha next cause i really felt like i needed a drink! Didn't bring my water bottle lol. Grace and I ended up sharing a passion fruit jiuce, no tea haha if not i might not have been able to fall asleep!!

Sat here to chat! 

Stayed there till about 9.30pm, which is really quite late but didn't care that much. Cause it's like finally get to see Nic again of course I wanted to stay longer to talk!

Nic was really sad to leave :( The 3 of us are all in SA so yeah i understand! Really wish we were in the same school aww man. It's okay we will meet up consistently and stay the best of friends!! :) POSITIVE THINKING YEAH.

So that's it! All i did yesterday was stay home and do work, then i went out with my family for dinner! It was quite a big family gathering i must say. Went home quite late which sucked cause i didn't have time to do my math tutorial!! Turned out we didn't really have to do it so okay i was safe. Lectures today were THE BEST. Okay GP lecture was my favourite lecture so far, the lecturer did Harem Shake HAHAHAH. He was so so funny and interesting how i wish every lecturer could be like him. Somehow i didn't feel that the rest of the lectures were draggy, i actually find econs interesting although i still think the lecturer's annoying :P 

School ended at 4.30pm but the day didn't feel that long :) Oh and it rained again but it wasn't a mood spoiler yay. Went home with Grace for the second time by bus. Yeap okay i should go sleep now, woohoo i'm done with this blog post, goodnight! :)

Start of lectures

HI THERE. I'm going to make this rather brief! Okay so the first day of lectures was...pathetic. I was falling asleep during math and that was only the first lecture! MY GOSH. Idk why i have the tendency to fall asleep during almost every single lecture, it's like the CC is meant for us to take naps!! My mom suggested using sweets to wake myself up so okay i'm gonna try that and hopefully it'll work! 

LET'S TALK ABOUT VALENTINE'S DAY, which in SA, is the start of friendship week!

It was so different from V-day in St Margs :( I was feeling so gloomy in the morning because everyone in the 4/4 WA group was saying 'HAPPY V-DAYY" and i realised how much i miss them! Plus i knew that not many people were gonna give out Valentine's day gifts. Whereas in SMSS your whole table would be filled with cards, sweets and baked goods. Hmm at least Valentine's day last year was well-spent :)

Had the junior senior picnic, didn't manage to have it out in the field because it drizzled :/ Sooo we had to move to the canteen. The entire thing was damn boring, but nvm i wasn't expecting much anyway! Although it was supposed to be a picnic, i barely ate anything and still felt hungry by the end of it, LOL.

8/9 OF THE LAUGHING 9 (super lame name we came up with hahaha)

Was supposed to meet the 4/4 peeps for a group photo but we were all scattered so yeah didn't manage to gather :( Took a photo with Rachella and Min Li instead! 

During one of our breaks! They played music in the canteen how cool is that, but i don't think it's smth they do all the time though. 

Also went for the principal's meeting with Christian students which was quite cool cause like everyone there is a Christian! So during worship everyone was singing and stuff :) Lol i didn't know that the woman speaking to us was the principal at first, she was dressed so casually! Like in t-shirt and jeans and she seems wayyy too nice to be the principal of SA. Haha idk if that's a good thing cause the students won't be very afraid of her, but at least she'll be approachable! :) 

Had GP lecture next (looking at my timetable to recall what happened haha), again i was falling asleep! Cause the lecturer was j)ust introducing us to GP so yeah it wasn't very interesting. NEXT, CHEM LECTURE. Omg the lecturer was going at the speed of lightning!! I RATHER IT BE BORING. Couldn't really catch up, i'll be honest and say that i was damn lost at the beginning kay like HELLO i haven't touched Chem in ages and all of a sudden i'm expected to be recall everything from the sec 4 syllabus. Furthermore i'm a COMBINED SCIENCE student so i'm new to certain concepts and thus i need more time to process! Oh and i couldn't really see the screen so i had to keep asking to read out the equations and stuff for me.Was so annoyed really :P Yeap Chem was the last lecture of the day for me, didn't meet my OG cause some people still had physics, so Grace and I left first. Her mom gave me a lift home yay! :

(15th Feb, Friday)

THIRD DAY OF LECTURESS. Had assembly in the CC, we were late and some teacher shouted at us lol. There was chapel, felt awkward to clap and sing because no one around me was singing! Hmm and the presentations were kinda boring :/ I was trying so hard not to fall asleep because my eyes would get really dry if i do! Btw Anya came to sit with us during one of the presentations! :) Felt a bit more awake then haha.

Volunteered to go for this part of the MT workshop thing where they teach you how to make noodles. It's either that or going to the CC with the rest of the cohort and learning how to write lyrics. HAHA NOT THANKS. So yeah went up to the kitchen with Joey (2 from each class i think)

Sooo i thought we were making la mian and that you actually had to do what those chefs in Crystal Jade do. Like pull the noodles apart and slam it onto the table, haha but nope we didn't have to do that!! 

OUR NOODLES BEFORE THEY WERE COOKED. Just had to make it look presentable lol. 

After the workshop there was another break which also lasted for an hour! However Joey and I had to go up early because some teacher had to brief us about the china scholar thing. Yeap we'll be hosting the china scholars!! Mr Kee volunteered our class so yeah 3 people had to go. Decided to volunteer myself because it sounds quite interesting hahah hope i don't regret it. Next was the pe lecture, didn't feel bad for falling asleep during this one because they didn't talk about anything which was very important! Kay that's what i THINK lah haha obviously i didn't really know what was going on cause i fell asleep :P AND THE LAST LECTURE WAS ECONS. I'm not particularly liking econs so far but i think it's rather interesting! :) Just that, the lecturer is so annoying lol and according to Rachella, very 'un-charismatic'. SO TRUEE.

After econs i met my OG outside the student lounge and we went out for 'tea'! My gosh it was raining DAMN HEAVILY. Got super wet ugh my umbrella is so useless. Wanted to go to Nex or smth but settled for KFC instead, which we passed by otw to the mrt station. Haha didn't want to walk anymore i guess! It's quite sad that not many of us were there, i can feel that the OG is dyingg :( Noooo. We need like a proper OG gathering with everyone there! Yeap, went home by MRT which i realised was quite a stupid decision. It's a lot more convenient for me to go home by bus!!  OKAY LESSON LEARNT.

Okay that's it!! I was supposed to make this brief hmm but just feel that i should say a bit more, since i haven't blogged in awhile! Okay going to sleep soon, will blog about today (went for Grace's church service and met up with my sec sch classmates) as well as CNY soon, i promise! Bye for now :)

End of orientation

Hi guys! School has been ending at like 6 or 7 so yeah i haven't had the time to blog. I'm extremely sorry about that! And it's CNY! Shall briefly talk about day 5 of orientation and the orientation finale (cny celebration)

'Heart' collage we had to do for one of our tasks during the amazing race. This seems like super long ago!! :(  

Day 5 (i typed all this earlier):

The second day with our CGs, had a scavenger hunt which didn't require us to really 'hunt' for anything hahah. Idek how you're supposed to win and stuff but i guess the point of having it is to bond the CG. I felt a lot more comfortable with my class that day! Yeah the first day i was separated from my OG mates i seriously felt like shit :( Thank goodness things got better! Still really miss OG 15 though! We went out of school again, i rmb going to plaza sing once more and also to Lorong Chuan where we had to dance to Shake It in front of the mrt station. Speaking of Shake it, i love the second mass dance now!! IT'S AWESOME CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD (song+steps)!

Oh so there was a cheer competition between the clans and i must say although i remain loyal to Axoria, Tyferia is also pretty awesome! WE WERE DAMN LOUD, especially when we did our final cheer! The "stomp stomp stomp you down.." one, proud of our clan hahah. And then they finally reached the final part of the "skit/story" about the 5 clans, it was so epic! All the OGLs were acknowledged, we cheered so loudly for Sam!! At least i think most of us did haha. 

After we were dismissed the OG decided to meet at the canteen again! We didn't go for dinner lah cause we just went the previous day. Just sat down and started to chat! Sam told us some stuff about the student council lol it scares me!! He said not to spread so i shall not elaborate. Went home by bus with Grace afterwards! Kay no she got on 151 and 10 secs after the bus left i realised i can take 151 home too!! SO STUPID LOL. Ended up having to wait for 154 haha kay lesson learnt.

Day 6 (CNY celebration):

 Reached school pretty early that day and managed to meet my OG at the music cafe! We better meet every morning omgg. And if possible meet after dismissal/during breaks too!! We got so entertained when Jonathan (this guy from my CG) decided to join us lol, Anya was trying so hard not to laugh at him, Pristine too i think! Wah really felt so mean for telling the OG about the weird things he does, couldn't help it he's really quite..unique :P Haha so we went to the CC to watch the CNY performance! It was okay lahh. Best part was at the end when the dance society performed! I was about to fall asleep during the band's performance :( It was quite disappointing cause the songs they played weren't very nice, they should've played songs which are more upbeat. OH WELL. No band for me hmm, i shall join choir or drama! :)   

Next we moved to the hall for our House Induction something..it's like they welcome you the the houses! I'M IN GOMES YAY :) Had to play this game where everyone has to tie their shoelaces together to form this 'caterpillar', and the group has to walk together to pick up light sticks while some people are blindfolded. And only those whom were blindfolded could pick up the light sticks! I suppose it should've been more interesting for me cause i was blindfolded haha. Next we started learning the Gomes cheers which are quite cool! :) Had a cheer competition among the different classes, woohoo i thought we did well! :)

And then the rest of the cohort gathered at the hall and we came to the official camp finale!! Did both the mass dances, Runaway Baby and Shake it. Haha cause my CG only has 6 guys i had to go over to the next class to look for a partner :P Partnered Shaun for Runaway Baby he said he can't rmb the steps so i was like  'it's okay nvm' but he wasn't that bad lah haha. Rachella didn't learn the steps to Runaway Baby so she went behind with Cheryl Lee and started doing some random dance movements! LOL GRACE TOO HAHA. Yeah then she joined us back for Shake It! We all sang 'Mark Of A Saint' and some other song i don't recall the name of. THEY'RE AWESOME! And we danced to Shake It like two more times, SERIOUSLY LOVE THE DANCE NOW :))

After dismissal, Rachella and I went to Popular because we had to buy our uniform. I met Pristine and Grace there as well! We were all very annoyed that at 1 plus the aunty still didn't come to open the shop! Waited outside for at least an hour, she said it would open at 1pm lol. Was about to give up and just leave cause some of our OG mates were waiting for us to go for lunch but then the shop finally opened!! THANK GOODNESS. Didn't manage to get the size i wanted though :/ The shirt is way too big i guess i'm still gonna be wearing my St Margs uniform on Wednesday haha. Met the OG and we went to find Samuel! Saw him after the OGLs were done with their meeting haha, had to wait for them to finish taking photos before we could go for lunch with Sam. GUESS WHAT WE ATE AT NEX AGAIN :) Waited at this tau huey shop for Shermaine (Sam's gf hahaha we can never stop disturbing them) and by the time we left it was like 4! That's how late we had our lunch woah. Went to pastamania and the both of them treated us to dessert yay! :) Grace and I ordered one baked rice to share though cause it felt weird not having a proper meal haha. Left Pastamania at like 6pm, my mom asked me to look around to see if i could get more clothes for CNY, so Grace and I stayed behind to shop! Didn't buy anything though :P Haha oh well. So i still ended up reaching home in the evening although school ended at 12.40pm! Haha whatever lah.

That's about it, i really wanted to include Chinese New Year's Eve but i don't have the photos with me :( Another time then, maybe i'll blog about CNY Day 1 first although that would be rather weird. Ugh i HATE being behind on blogging! :( I should probably blog about today, which is like the start of lessons. Miss orientation so much! I'll upload more pictures from orientation if i get them. Day 2, 3 & 4 of orientation

Hi there i'm gonna briefly talk about day 2, 3 and 4 of orientation! 

Day 2:

Took 23 polaroids consecutively, it was quite insane haha but fun! This was our prize for winning most enthusiastic group :) We are seriously the best OG ever because we bought the same blue shirt that day and wore it together! SO MUCH TEAM SPIRIT :) I'm really going to miss OG15 :(

Had wet games that day which was CRAZY. Ugh wish i blogged about this earlier because now i'm having a mind block and i can't really rmb what happened :P We were quite desperate to beat out the other teams haha. It was so much fun!! Oh and we had mass dance, smth i thought SA didn't have haha and there i was laughing at my friends who had to do mass dancing in their school. It was also really enjoyable my gosh the dance steps are so cool!! I liked it idk why people are don't like having mass dances haha, maybe cause you have to pair up with someone of the opposite gender. Hmm i vaguely rmb us having some talks, it's forever the most boring part of the day lol really not worth mentioning so idk why i'm even bringing it up :P We were kinda dismissed after the wet games and then we had trouble deciding where to go for OG dinner! Ended up having dinner in school, LOL FAILL. Well but we were still having dinner as an OG so good enough i guess. Mom picked me from sch after dinner and that was it!

Day 3:

Assembled in the CC as usual and right after we had our mass dance! It was a continuation of the previous day, learnt the rest of the steps and now i really love it!! SO FUN MAN. Hmm then i rmb us going back to the CC for yet another talk, the guy was like talking about what to expect in JC which i find rather true. It is what i'm expecting! Then we had our amazing race woohoo. We were on our way to lunch and as we passed another OG i happened to see Grace, SHE GOT INTO SA!! I alr knew she was in SA but didn't know that she was joining us on that day itself. So surprised my gosh, immediately ran forward to give her a hug haha. And so she joined OG 15! :) Had chicken rice for lunch and that's when i started to introduce her to some of my OG mates. They're all nice people so she made friends with them quite easily :) Had to do some quests and stuff, first stop was Little India! We managed to finish the task rather quickly, THE AWESOMEST OG EVER :) Next we went to Sentosa, decided to walk instead of take the monorail cause we only could use public transport thrice. Got there and started making sand castles/fortresses cause it was all part of the game, the other clans had to try and destroy our sand castles. Unfortunately, because of the lightning signal we had to leave before the game even commenced :(( SPOILERR. That was supposed to be the best part! But it was fun just building the sand castle lah :)

Ended up taking the tram back to where we came from, somewhere else in Sentosa. I'm not even sure where that is :P Anyway the sad thing is that most OGs had to walk back (IN THE RAIN) while we so fortunately got to take the tram, felt kinda bad lol. So we didn't get to play any games :( DARN ITT. Had to wait at the bus station or wherever for Samuel (our OGL) and two other members to arrive but we ended up meeting them at Vivo! It rained really heavily i was all wet and dirty haha. Had debrief and i was damn sad that it was the last 'official' day of us being together as an OG. Decided to have dinner together once more! Ate at the food court yeap, not everyone managed to make it but yeah it's better than nothing :) I'm missing OG15 so much right noww :( Took the mrt home and my mom picked me up from Buona Vista, yeap so that's it. I'm glad that Grace came along that day, at least she has an OG now and she experienced the fun part!! :)

Day 4:

Spilt into our CGs this morning, like right after assembly ugh so annoying. I thought we would have half a day with our OGs but nope there was a change of plan, CHEAT MY FEELINGS :( So i'm taking CMEl (chem, math, econs, lit)! Very thankful that Ernest and Nat are in the same CG as me!! Some people don't even have anyone from their OG in the same class as them :( Most of us don't really like our CGs, like seriously. But i'm really glad that i'm in the same class as Rachella!! :) SHE CAME TO SA TODAY. Yeap another dear friend of mine from 4/4 in SA :) There are quite a lot of St Margs girls in my class! I wasn't particularly happy about that, it's like then i don't really get to meet new people! :/ Felt like being in a girls' school all over again because they are only 6 guys in my CG hahah. For now i still prefer my OG because everyone pretty much gets along with everyone. But in my CG i don't feel that i can click that well with every single person. Why do we stay with our OGs for 3 days but our CGs for 2 years?! IT SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY ROUND. Every time i saw someone from OG15 or Samuel i felt even sadder. And can't believe they made us change clans! We're no longer in Axoria :(( All of a sudden we had to learn the Tyferia cheers lol it felt so weird.

Anyway we played smth like Cluedo today. Had lunch outside of school first, we went to Plaza Sing, ended up eating at pastamania yeap. The group of girls i sat with during lunch is awesome! I didn't know some of them previously but they're all nice :) We got along quite well and laughed like crazy! Too bad that wasn't the full CG :( So yeah the Cluedo game, it was quite tough. It was a test of like your intelligence rather than how fast you can run haha. Didn't enjoy it that much, was feeling quite down cause i wasn't with my OG but i have to say that the game was really well-planned! My CGL is nice too but he isn't as awesome as Samuel, sad to say :P Oh and we also learnt a new routine for the mass dance! Bleh it isn't as fun/cool as the previous one, but i still liked it lah. Mass dances are fun in general! :) Had dinner with the OG once again because we all really missed one another!! Met at the canteen after debrief and headed to Nex. Ate at a food court again hahah, almost everyone was complaining about their CGs :( I genuinely feel quite sorry for some of my OG mates! Wish we could just all be in the same CG. Hmm kay left at about 8 plus by train!

That's about it then. Kay lah my CG is alright in general but i just have that really special bond with my OG! I hope things will get better soon, i just have to keep trusting God and believe that this is the best plan for me. Shall go now, i'm so tired haha. Cyaa :)
