Day 1 in SAJC

OG 15!! This photo was for the game Picture Perfect, we had to portray different people in a park. Won most enthusiastic group yay! :)

Me after my mom arrived to pick me up! She just wanted a photo of me since it was the first day of school haha.

So the first day in SA went pretty well. It was an exciting day! :) I was so tired by the end of it but i had a lot of fun! :) Was supposed to meet Min Li and Brin at the mrt station but my mom didn't know how to get there so she drove me right into the school. Wow it took me forever to walk past the entire 'village' to get to the JC, haha got to get used to that. Hopefully there's a different entrance! Waited outside the hall because i didn't want to go in on my own, but i had to in the end cause they weren't replying me! OH WELL.

 Haha the day started off with the VP saying a few words and giving devotion, my brain automatically turns off whenever there's devotion hahaha. Idk about the usual devotions in SA but those in St Margs are mostly BORING. I'm certainly going to miss having Singspiration in St Margs though, heard that in SA it's optional. So after we were done singing the national anthem and everything, we were led into the CC (cultural centre i think) where we had to listen to quite a number of talks! They're basically about the school and about our subject combinations. Saddened that i won't be able to take H2 Lit because i'm in the science stream :( I so should've chosen arts instead!! Because i didn't know anyone in my OG, my phone was like my best friend during the first part of the day haha. Couldn't stop whatsapping everyone! 

After the talks ended they brought us to the hall where there was student counselling, i think that's what they call it, like you can ask the various subject teachers about the subjects! Because we were free to roam around, everyone went to look for the secondary school mates haha. There weren't that many girls from St Margs, i was quite surprised! But yeah most of the St Margs girls stuck together. It felt great to see people wearing the same polka dotted uniform as i did!! Gave me a sense of familiarity, although i may not know some of them that well. Went with Cheryl Chow to see what to Lit teacher had to say and then there wasn't anything else that i was interested in haha. The bunch of us ended up occupying this whole row of steps (hard to explain) and we just started talking. Really wish that Divya, Rachella, Grace and Tanny will be able to join us in SA soon!! 

So then we met back with our OGs, yeap i made some new friends that day! :) The people in my OG are all really nice in general, and i'm truly thankful for that! We learnt the school song in the hall, i quite like it! :) Then we went for lunch and a few of the other girls in the OG and i went to grab some food from the Cafe. Didn't have much of an appetite then, although i was really hungry! Hmm not sure why. After lunch we finally started with games!! It was heaps of fun, changed into our PE attires and had to introduce ourselves to the rest of the OG. Our OGL is really enthu haha. Games kinda lasted till the end of the day, somewhere in between were cheers though, by then we were more or less familiar with everyone in the OG :) HOORAY. Anyway since i've been in a girls' school for 10 years, i seriously thought that i would be super uncomfortable in a co-ed school, but somehow i wasn't! That's good i guess but going to SA really made me miss St Margs  and my friends from 4/4 :( Hmm for some reason i feel that this is just temporary, and that i'll go back to St Margs to study again but i won't. I study in SA now, not SMSS. This is gonna take some time :(

Sorry for this super lengthy post haha, kudos to you if you've read till the end! Excited for Day 2 of orientation tmr, now we have an OG whatsapp group which is constantly getting spammed haha. We're gonna meet for breakfast at 6.40am wow idk how i'm gonna wake up for that but i'll try!! Kay i should probably sleep soon, bye then! :))
