HII I'M FINALLY BACK YAY. I know i haven't been blogging for awhile I apologise!! Hope you haven't given up on reading on anything hehe. But i think at this point most people are too busy to really follow anyway haha. Yay gonna blog about random stuff that happened last week!
Wednesday
Finally met Grace again yay!! Another catch-up sess hehe. NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT WAS REALLY GOOD. Haha i'm not really used to her not knowing who my new friends are and stuff so i had to talk about them like one-by-one so that she'd rmb their names and all :P The same for her haha. So yeah it was interesting!
WE ATE AT NAM NAM :D I think this place is slightly overrated but it's still good lah haha.
Yay had so much fun talking but then we decided to 'migrate' (my English LOL) cause there were people like waiting haha. YEAP grabbed llao llao for dessert hehehe. Again we were forced to leave cause there were too many people there and it didn't seem nice to occupy the seats when we were alr done with our yogurt haha.
SO WE CAME HERE TO TAKE PICS YAYY :) Coincidental matching outfits!! Kay not super matching but we're both wearing black lah so it's counted haha.
It took us forever to get someone to take this pic for us haha. Someone else helped us take one before this but it looked terrible that's why we asked someone else hehe oops.
Then we didn't feel like parting (aww) so she followed me to SMU labs!! Cause i had to study haha and she was waiting for her mom to pick her anyway! :)
I almost couldn't find a place to sit!! But eventually we found a really cozy corner hehe. Sat here and talked for awhile longer then she had to go off :( Sooo yeap i just studied by myself haha. I realise i kinda like just chilling at labs by myself!! :) Cause i have my mac with me so whenever i'm feeling bored i can just look at clothes and stuff hehe.
So yeap it was a great meet-up!! :) CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONEE. Oh halfway i went to look for Weilin cause she was selling me brownies!! HEHE. Okay technically she came to find me haha so sweet! She came all the way to bras basah even though it was quite out of the way for her :/ Oh well haha. THANKFUL :)
$15 FOR 5 BROWNIES. THEY WERE SO GOODDD :) I sold one to Tae Yong and he asked me to sell him another one hahaha but i refused lol :P
Haha oh and i also discovered that some of my bondue friends were at labs too! So Remus went to sit with me but he was damn distracting omg. He just couldn't stop talking when i really wanted to focus on my work :P It was v amusing but also sad HAHAHA.
Thursday
Too lazy to talk about what happened in the day haha so i'm just gonna skip to the part where we attended the voix workshop!! I went with Nic and Tae Yong :D So thankful for friends with common interests!! Haha it was quite fun! But i felt a bit intimidated cause i can't really read notes and i can't really hit the notes v well :( But it was still a good experience hehe. Basically what we did was split into different sections and every section worked on their part! Then at the end of it everyone sang tgt :D IT WAS COOL!!
SELFIE AFTER THE WORKSHOP YAYY. We were both more sure that we wanted Voix after the workshop haha. Oh well too bad they only accept v few people :(
Friday
BOOK OUT DAYYY. I went for my Voix audition that day haha. Honestly can't recall what i did before that but yeah i was just super nervous lah :/ I was probably just in school to study or smth lol really don't rmb :P OH WAIT i went to FTW! Finishing Touch Workshop haha. It's like this compulsory workshop you have to take cause it's supposed to help you understand yourself and what kind of career you're suited for and stuff. YEAP. I went with Hong Joo and Julia :D The whole time the guy was just discussing personality types haha. I'm honestly a bit confused whether i'm ESFP or ESFJ. Every time i take the test the result will be different for the last one :( Haha oh well. Then at 3ish TY and i went to rehearse for our audition :O We just found a random GSR and sang our song once haha. And it was time to go!
Being in the holding room was scary but at least i had a friend with me haha. All the voix people kept asking us to sing for them :P SO PAISEH. Oh well haha. My audition didn't go super well lol but it could've been worse so i'm still thankful!! :) Haha i knew i wouldn't get in though but i was honestly okay with it as long as i got into samba!
YAY then i went to look for Andy! It was around 4 at that time and he got home at 2+?? :O SUCH AN EARLY BOOKOUT. LUCKY BOY. Haha yay then we ate the delicious chicken rice near his house!!! He went there early to get it :D So i have to forgive him for not wanting to pick me up from school haha. Yay I enjoyed the day! :) Even though i was panicky/angst/tired at some points haha. But overall i was HAPPY :D I'm speaking like a 10-year old lol.
Oh and at night Samba Masala called me to tell me that i got accepted!! :D YAYY. I was so relieved haha. I feel bad for not accepting the offer on the spot though! Like cause at that point i didn't know whether Voix would accept me haha. So in the unlikely event that they did i wouldn't wanna regret accepting samba :/ But yeah still pretty honoured that they chose me :) Cause out of 200+ auditionees they only selected about 41 people! (according to their email haha) YEAP can't help but feel quite proud of myself :D
Saturday
SoundFoundry Camp!! Idk if i've mentioned it before but SF is a music cca haha. But it has like no commitment haha you just pay for their membership and you're in SF! Then you have access to their studios and can try for gigs! :) So yeap i signed up for the camp with Nic and a few of my bondue friends!! I was quite hesistant about it at first though cause it was during the weekends :/ But okay i got to meet Andy on both Saturday and Sunday eventually haha.
Reporting time was 10am so we met for breakfast!! :) THE CLINGY-NESS IS REAL. We met at 9am then just walked around after breakfast then went to SMU to find somewhere to sit haha. I ended up reporting at like 10.40ish instead :P Cause Nic and I predicted that we'd have to wait for super long if we went on time anyway haha.
(i'm lazy to continue cause it's late so i'll just continue tmr ya haha, random pics and vids for you all to enjoy first!!)
OKAY CONTINUING. Haha the camp itself was quite zzz cause idk the facis like not very on and the activities were so-so. But i didn't mind cause my group is really nice!! :) Music bonded us aww haha. It was fun jamming and just chilling tgt most of the time! I sang so much the entire day omg :O
We bumped into Danielle!!! SO COOL. SHE JUST FOUND US. Haha i forgot what she was there for lol. But she suddenly approached me and stroked my chin HAHAHA i was like "omg who the hell" then i saw that it was her!! YAYY WE WERE SO EXCITED TO SEE HER :)
We're both in the 'blue clan' HAHA. They grouped us according to the genre we like!! So there's rock, indie and pop haha. Remus and Nuts were in rock and Ty was in indie so yeap i wasn't in the same group as any of them haha. But De Zhong was in my group!! :) my bondue faci haha, and Darren my arts camp group mate! YAY so it was nice having people around whom i know.
He wanted to be in the selfie too hahaha. Oh here was when Voix audition results came out! All my closer friends and I didn't get in :( So yeah oh well haha. I was v okay with it cause then i knew i could accept Samba!! Nic too haha. I honestly thought she had a v good chance of getting in but oh well idk what exactly they're looking for lah :/ But it's okay i think we'll have a lot of fun in Samba hehe.
We moved on to station games!! It wasn't super fun lah but still quite fun imo haha.
Kept bumping into the ah lian HAHAHA. He said his group is v intimidating cause there are a lot of pro people :O
After the games i think the girls all went to shower!! Haha had a mini htht session in the toilet LOL. I'm glad i can click with most of them!! :) But i feel bad cause i keep ditching them for my bondue friends lol. Cause so happens that they don't really wanna stick with their group so they kept wanting to meet haha. But i wanna meet them also lah just felt bad for ditching my super nice group :P
Before some mystery night game haha. Dz, Remus and I sneaked off while it was dark to go and study hahaha
Went to Remus' SR to study!! LOL most of the time we were just talking. And doing weird things like this...... -.- HAHAHA. But it was enjoyable! Just felt bad cause i wasn't v productive and i ditched my group to 'study' haha. Halfway i talked to Andy on the phone yay :D I just went out of the SR for awhile haha. Didn't feel too clingy cause i knew i'd see him the next day! :)
We spent awhile discussing whose face was cuter LOL. Honestly i had no comments besides "Remus looks like ah lian" hahaha
After the night game my group went to Labs to find a spot to sleep!! Hehe yayy. Cause the SRs don't have air con :O They had no budget haha so yeap it's okay lah. At least we got to find a good spot there to sleep at! In the end everyone didn't really sleep haha they were like just studying/talking. I was with my bondue friends most of the time!! Cause TY and Remus came to labs to find us so yeah we just spent most of our time with them haha.
Then TY was hungry so he asked us to go to macs??? IT WAS SO LATE HAHA. SO FUNNY. Remus refused to go so i just went with him and one of my group mates whom he dragged along haha. Ended up just buying nuggets and sharing it with my friend haha.
We just chilled and talked rubbish for the rest of the night haha then slept at around 4.30am!! i couldn't really sleep cause the floor was v hard :( but ya i sort of slept lah haha. It was better than nothing!! :)
MORNINGGG. Woke up and went to find my group!! Felt so bad for ditching them LOL but i still kept doing it -.- This is Gillian!! She's really nice haha i think i click the best with her.
The top 3 groups were allowed to go out of school and use other studios (they booked it for them) while the rest had to stay in school and use the school studio! Yeap so we spent the rest of the day practicing for our performance at The Hood Bar!! It's like the Sound Foundry finale haha. But i didn't go cause i left early to meet Andy!! Sounds v clingy i know but he was going off for field camp that week so might as well lah haha. Wont' die if i don't perform :P
After we use the studio we came out here to practice and jam more!!! :) SO FUN HEHEHE. My group sang All About That Bass, Creep and Yellow!
Then Nuts and Remus came to join us so we were just inside the studio watching other groups do their QC haha. It stands for QUALITY CHECK. The org comm had to check whether we were all good enough to go on stage haha. One group was super good omg they sounded damn legit and the singer was really on and into it so yeap we were like damn happy and amazed during their performance haha.
Then TY's group came to do their QC so we supported him YAYY. Felt kinda bad cause we all weren't going to the finale to support him haha. oh well at least we were there for his rehearsal!!
AT THE HOOD BAR. Just posting these for fun even though i'm not in any of them haha
ALL ABOUT THAT BASS. Yay they did a really great job!! I listened to the recording haha. HEHE HAPPY FOR THEM.
Kinda wish i performed too but it's okay!! At least i got to have dinner with Andy and spend some time with him before he booked in :)
Okay it took me awhile to properly finish this post hahaha OOPS. It's like Wednesday now but i was supposed to be done on Monday i think :P OH WELL. Haha okay shall go now then!! School has been boring :( But Thank God for random bookouts haha. CYAAA :)
