Turning 20

HI FRIENDS I'M BACK!! :) YAYY time to blog about my birthday :) Honestly, it wasn't so bad spending my birthday overseas. I think the celebrations back home already made the day special before it even arrived! If that makes sense haha. But yeap every birthday is really an important reminder that i'm super duper blessed :') Hehe okay here goes! Gonna skip some events in between which are unrelated to my bday haha.

4 May, Wednesday

Totally wasn't expecting anything to happen on this day! It was really just an ordinary day. I went for my first Kscope meeting and then i was supposed to just meet Grace for dinner!

Selfie before leaving the house cause i felt cui and applied foundation haha. Luckily i did omg if not i'd look extra cui in the evening.

The meeting was quite lame cause a lot of people couldn't make it. But i met one of my co-facis and she's super nice!! :) She seems like a super fun person too YAY. HEHE can't wait for the camp now! :D So i went home to rest for awhile cause it ended v early! I was like rolling around in bed and lepaking LOL then i head out to meet Grace :D

Met her at the MRT station or smth i think?? Then we walked to Rollie Ollie tgt! I randomly suggested the place cause Grace hasn't tried it before haha not cause i super love it or smth :P If i had known this was for my bday maybe i would've chosen somewhere else HAHA but it doesn't really matter lah. SOOO we got there and suddenly i heard people singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY super loudly and at first i didn't really care about it cause i assumed they were singing for other people LOLOL. I only turned like 2s later and saw Nic and Sher!!! HAHAHA. THANKS GUYS <3 I was really damn surprised!! :) HEHE GOOD JOB friends for not leaking the surprise :D

YAYYY so we ordered and waited for all the sushi to come before eating!! IT WAS SO YUMMY HEHE. I feel like eating sushi nowww.

MY CUTE CAKE. Haha i got this exact cake twice for my bday LOL. The second time from my jc friends HAHA. But theirs wasn't much of a celebration so i'll blog about that day in a separate post! 

Haha we sat there and talked for super long about random stuff! It was super fun and as usual i really enjoyed their company :D Dk what i'd do without them omg. We've been celebrating one another's bday since like sec 2?? Hope we'll keep it up till we're old HAHA.

CREEPY FACE SWAP. Our faces totally don't match HAHAHA. I make Nic look fat and she looks like a China girl with my features LOL. Interesting how they didn't swap the teeth though haha.

After quite long we were ready to leave so we took more pics first!! :)

AND LAST GROUP PIC with my pretty friends :) YAY first celebration of my 20th birthday haha. It was the earliest they celebrated but bday but it's okay lah 10 days isn't THAT far away. Last year Andy celebrated like two weeks early HAHA. 

Hehe so after this we left and that was the last time i saw them before i left for Chiang Mai!! Can't wait to meet again soon :)

Okay this day i did kinda expect smth hahaha. Cause what happened was, Andy was showing me smth on Facebook so his turned his phone to me and was like "eh see" (smth like that) and the only thing i noticed was Shinta's message popping up saying "Andy sorry i can't make it for Sophia's surprise" HAHAHA. And he had no idea i saw it until i told him. Then he was just like "pretend you didn't see it" LOLOL. It was damn funny he looked so shocked and helpless HAHA. Then in a separate occasion, Andy Nicky and I were out and we wanted to jio Yh too. Then Andy was talking to her on the phone and before they hung up i could hear her say "see you on Friday" and i was like "we're meeting on Friday??" Then AGAIN he didn't know what to say so he was like "erm....i was planning to ask them out on Friday" which totally doesn't make sense LOL. SOOOO yeah that's how i know that there was smth on on this day HAHA. SORRY ANDY.

I appreciated it a lot anyway!!! :) Hehe it's their first time celebrating my bday for me!! The start of the day was quite sian cause Andy couldn't book out till really late :( We were supposed to meet to go collect my shirt first (cause i went to alter it somewhere) but he had to stay to do some filming for his open house so he was only out at 3+ if i rmb correctly?? So yeah i was damn sad but afterwards i felt a lot better hehe. So he cabbed home to get ready for the surprise or smth first then he pretended he was still otw to Lavender haha. Then i met him at the mrt station and we went to his house! There was only Terence, their cousin and Kahyen outside so i figured they were in the room.

 

YAYY and true enough they were waiting there to surprise me!! HEHE SO SWEET OMG. Even though i was anticipating it i still felt surprised in a way?? Idk how to explain it haha like i still v overwhelmed and stuff. YAY THANKS GUYSS :) Credits to Keyun for this video haha. I was expecting Yh to be there cause she was the one who said "See you on Friday" haha but she wasn't :( She had work!! Almost thought Pristine was her HAHA so i was pleasantly surprised to see Pristine!! HEHE I MISSED HER.

AND THE BALLOONS ARE SO PRETTY OMG. The princess one is seriously huge haha. Ws and and Ky shared the cake and the balloon :) 

It seems like the type of cake that just looks good but tastes meh but it actually tasted good!! Hehe not too sweet just the way i like it :D

THEN WE PLAYED AVALON. YAYY i love Avalon. I forgot how good they are at the game LOL. I always feels damn stressed playing with them HAHA cause they're all so experienced. It wasn't that stressful playing it in uni with the bondue peeps :P BUT IT WAS FUN OBVIOUSLY. Although i lost TWICE as the spy haha. I suck at being the bad guy -.-

After playing avalon i decided to check my GPA!! Of all days it came out on this day omg. I was v nervous :( Wasn't expecting much so v unexpectedly by cumulative GPA increased!! BY LIKE 0.02 HAHA. I was totally not expecting it hehe. So now it's 3.67 :D (i'm just happy not trying to show off) but yeah really thank God because i could've easily done much worse. I really give all the credit to Him because i couldn't have done it on my own :O Hehe so yeap gonna keep trying my best :)

SOOO at around 5 Ky had to leave!! :( So we left altogether and the rest of us went for dinner!

So we sent Ky off then the 4 of us went to Plaza Sing for dinner!! I had no idea where i wanted to eat at so i randomly suggested Bangkok Jam haha. It was quite disappointing zz. Not worth the price (insert angry face emoji) So after dinner Pristine had to leave!! :/ THANKFULLY YH COULD JOIN LATER :) Haha i left for prac first then we decided to watch a late night movie after my prac!! :D

Haha everyone was wondering whose balloon it was LOL. I just pushed it to one corner and didn't acknowledge it until the end of prac :P SO EMBARRASSING HAHA. But prac was good!! Hehe afterwards i immediately rushed to Lido to meet them! YAY it was so good to see Yh! There were no more tix for the movie we wanted to watch so i recommended Jungle Book to them! LOL i think Nicky and Yh slept during the movie?? Like at random points. So sad it's a good movie :( but it was late lah so i understand HAHA.

Hehe so after the movie Nicky drove us home!! THANKS NICKY. Oh he dropped Andy at my house then he took a cab home from there! Cause it's not otw or smth. So yeap that's all :) Hehe really enjoyed myself even though the first part of the day wasn't so good.

9 May, Monday

Yay dinner with Andy! :) Before that we had lunch with Sammi and Sheep and then went for St's graduation! Then we went home to rest and change then went back out! It was quite a busy day but thank God i had enough energy to last haha. 

YAY wore my new top from rwb!! I had to alter it cause initially it was too big haha. 

We had dinner at Platypus Kitchen! :) Met at Bugis Mrt first and he appeared with a super pretty bouquet of roses!! SO TOUCHED OMG. Prettiest flowers he's ever given me haha. Totally wasn't expecting it and to me it's quite a big deal cause he doesn't really give me bouquets?? Usually it's like a stalk haha (which i'd be fine with too) so yeap really appreciated the effort he took to order and specify what he wanted/didn't want for the flowers. I'm glad he remembered to tell them "No pink roses" HAHA

Nice place!! The food was so pricey though i didn't want to let him pay but he insisted so ah well. 

Chili crab mantou!!

Ordered this ribeye & truffle rice bowl!! IT WAS REALLY YUMMY. Only some of the beef was unchewable (sorry this isn't a word) LOL. So i had to spit out quite a few pieces :P SIGH so that was disappointing but other than that the other pieces were really tender and flavourful!! 

Pannacotta! He ordered the 3-course dinner haha but i just ordered the ala carte cause i didn't want to over-order.

After this he sent me home and we didn't want to part so soon so we just chilled at the pool for awhile haha. They have really comfy seats there!! :D Yeap so when it got later then he left! Hehe it was a romantic night :D Really must thank him for putting in so much effort for my bday!! From the celebration with his sec friends, to this and also the surprise gift on my actual bday (will talk about it later)! Hehe i truly felt special :)

Last selfie for this post i promise. Haha i really took a lot of pics with/of my flowers cause i knew i won't get to see them once i leave for my ocsp!! They wither too quickly :(

Hehe so that day i met Pearl and Sotong!! The plan was just to meet Pearl haha i wasn't really expecting anything?? Okay i was like half expecting smth HAHA. So i was waiting for Pearl at Charlie Brown cafe and she was so late LOL. When she finally came Sotong was there too and they got a balloon for me!! :) Hehe it was so nice to be reunited :)

Thanks lovely friends :D THE BALLOON IS SO CUTE. And up till now it's still floating like it barely deflated haha. Hehe so we had our lunch then decided to go to scape to play pool!! We had an hour left cause i was supposed to meet Joy at 4pm :) She wanted to give me a birthday treat so sweet! Then she asked if Waeng could come along so of course i agreed cause up till then we hadn't even met him properly! So yeap it was a good opportunity for us to properly get to know him :)

PICS FIRST. So thankful for these two <3 It's been so many years of friendship omg.

The pool place was closed :( So we came here instead!! It's like this place were you pay a certain price to stay for an hour, then there's free flow snacks, drinks and you can play all their games!! SO YEAP :)

POOL. HAHAHA we're all damn bad at it?! Thank goodness there weren't a lot of people watching and that it's not a proper pool place haha.

Then we played darts!! But the darts board was quite shitty?! Like it doesn't stick LOL. Partly cause we suck at it also haha. Look at Pearl's darts just flying off the board and breaking apart :P Omg but i got a super lucky shot HAHA ONE TRY I HIT BULLSEYE?! Omg i took a snap but i forgot to save the snap sooo there's no pic of it :( But Pearl and Sotong can testify for me HAHA. Unbelievable omg i was so stunned.

Haha then we gave up and went back to playing pool. During pool we took random snacks to try. One hour is too short to try everything haha. But nvm lah it was still fun!! :) Hehe after this i went to F21 to meet Joy, Andy and Waeng :D Pearl came over to say hi! Then she and Sotong left :( Hehe we must meet again soon.

Joy treated me to bingsu!! YAYY THANKSS :) Haha the 4 of us shared on green tea bingsu! I've been having a lot of dessert lately LOL. NEED TO CUT DOWN. Now i see ice cream i feel like puking cause in Chiang Mai they kept giving us ice cream and sweet stuff also -.-  Hehe we sat here and talked for quite awhile before Joy had to leave!! Waeng is quite quiet but he'll get more and more comfortable with us soon :D He said it wasn't awkward though so that's good!! :)

LAST CELEBRATION: WITH MY FAMILY :D I kinda celebrated with the rest of my fam during mother's day haha but there was only one cake which say "Happy Mother's Day" so it's not really a celebration for me that's why i didn't include it HAHA. But this celebration was for me!! :) Just with my direct family!

So Andy and I went to Taka to meet my fam at Angus Steakhouse!! As usual the beef was delicious hehe. No pics cause i was too busy eating LOL.

Then it was time to cut the cake!! I was way too full from dinner haha. We had ice-cream for dessert also (see ice-cream again GG) so none of us ate the cake HAHA. But by the time i came back from OCSP it was gone :P

Last one!! Hehe so that's about all for this day :) That night Andy stayed over then my mom drove us to the airport tgt so he could send me off too!! :) It was so early omg so nice that my mom was willing to send me there and Andy wanted to come along :')

Hehe so on the 13th of May my OCSP celebrated my bday for me and this other guy!! His bday was on the 13th so coincidental omg. So they just celebrated tgt! :) Not posting pics from the 14th other than this cause they're quite unrelated to my bday HAHA. HEHE LOOK AT ALL THESE LETTERS :) Tay Pin (this guy from my ocsp who is always in samba) handed it to me after they celebrated our birthdays for us! I was so surprised i thought it was from my section at first!! Then i realised that it was Nic's handwriting at the front and back! And someone wrote an ugly "Sophia" in pen at the front also and i realised it was Andy's handwriting HAHAHA. Sorry Andy. YAY so i figured out what it was!! Only opened it on the 14th itself hehe :) It's such a sweet surprise gift and so personal too cause they're all (mostly) handwritten and i really appreciate the effort they took to decorate the card hehe. So yes these letters really made my day so much better! :) 

Alright that's about it!! So much to thank God for this birthday! :) I think i typed like 30 smiley faces in this post LOL. I didn't expect myself to feel so at peace on my birthday even though i was in a foreign country with sucky weather and people whom i barely knew. But somehow i was because i alr knew how love and blessed i am and i didn't need further reaffirmation :) Hehe so yeap i shall end my post now! Idk what i'll blog about next but it'll probably be either random updates/bali/ocsp!! I'll find time to update :D HEHE TILL THEN :)
