It's 2016!!

HI FRIENDS :)) Haha gonna blog about New Year's Eve as well as the first two days of 2016!! :) Sigh time only moves quicker..haha oh well. 2015 was pretty good year but i'm hoping 2016 will be even better :D

31st December

So i spent the afternoon of New Year's Eve with Grace and the rest of the day with Andy!! To me it kinda felt like another day for some reason but it turned out to be really special hehe. So i met Grace at Holland V!! She was really late cause her project group meeting dragged for really long haha so i had to wait for awhile but i was fine with it! Hehe so she came at around 2pm and as usual we weren't sure of what to eat so in the end we settled for Mu Palour!! :)

Haha didn't take many pics oops but here's my lunch!! It was so-so lah haha. My fav part of this dish would be the garlic fries!! But i was having a bad throat haha so i didn't finish it :P

Hehe really talked a lot and i'm just so thankful for a friend like Grace who really gets me and is always honest about her opinions. Haha maybe that's why whenever stuff happens i always feel the need to tell Grace!! But i'm still sad that we don't meet often enough for us to talk about random stuff that we do during the day and all :/ Haha but doesn't matter that much lah :)

SELFIES YAYY. She stopped after the 3rd one then i wanted a last selfie but she couldn't come up with another expression so she imitated my face HAHA

Haha so it was a 2h long catch-up but it felt really short!! Ah well we'll meet again soon hopefully :) Soo at 4ish i went over to Andy's house!

We chilled for awhile before going off for dinner which was at 8.30pm! He booked some place and didn't tell me where we were going so that he could give me a 'surprise' haha so sweet. So yeap i had no idea where we were going to we just left the house at 7+!

ON THE BUSS. Boarded a random bus and he kept saying we would be early so i assumed we were going someplace really nearby like Bugis hahaha but it turned out to be CHIJMES!!

I didn't know CHIJMES could look so pretty!! I was really fascinated by the place haha and we loved the ambiance :)

It was dark by then so it was hard for us to get a good lighting but this pic turned out alright hehe

We went to this restaurant called Wharf Oyster Bar & Seafood!! IT WAS SO ATAS. Haha i felt like we were too young to dine there lol but whatever we'll be YOUNG WILD & FREE (idk what i'm saying)

WOWOW one pasta for $23. Hahaha Andy was like "just order i'm paying" aww. I felt really bad but i really had no money to pay for myself :( So yeah just let him treat me once in awhile lorh haha. But i definitely wouldn't want him to treat me to every meal cause i don't think that makes sense :P 

His oyster pasta!! The serving was actually REALLY SMALL. Haha oh well atas restaurants are like that they charge you a lot for tiny portions of food :P

I picked their salmon and mushroom cream pasta haha. It wasn't too filling cause the portion was small so YAY. We ordered chicken wings too and they were delicious!! Andy let me try one of his oysters haha and they were legit v fresh and chewy :D

THIS BOTTLE OF WATER COSTS $8. And it wasn't even enough to properly fill two glasses of water HAHA. We were just amused :P

Hehe so we hung around for awhile longer then left!! :) The place was really amazing.

So near SMU haha my impression of the place is totally different now

I also didn't know where we were headed next haha so i just followed Andy and we ended up walking to Clarke Quay!! His plan failed HAHAHA we were supposed to take the river taxi to Esplanade then watch the fireworks from there. But they only have the river cruise which costs $25 :( SOO we ended up going elsewhere!! Kinda felt like we wasted some of our time at Clarke Quay but honestly any time spent together is time well spent haha. If you have a bf/gf you should get this!! :)

ENDED UP AT DOWNTOWN. It was also a really good spot to watch the fireworks!! Hehe we sat here and hobo-ed while waiting for the fireworks and there were a lot of people there :O Thank goodness we found a spot to sit at haha.

YAY THEN COUNTDOWN BEGAN AND BEFORE WE KNEW IT IT WAS 2016. The fireworks were ten times more stunning in real life!! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE. Haha totally can't tell from the pic so i decided not to take too many pictures and really just soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the moment :D

We left before it ended to avoid the mrt crowd!! I was feeling kinda sad but i don't regret leaving early haha cause there was really A LOT of people who were behind us and we didn't have to wait v long before getting onto the train!

The fireworks were a stunning sight but this is even more interesting imo..haha look at how many phones and cameras were up in the air OMG. 

YAY THEN HE SENT ME HOME :)) Haha i feel bad cause when he left there were suddenly no more buses so he ended up jogging to Stevens MRT?! #fitboy96 HAHAHA. Thankfully it's not that far!! :) So yeap that's all for December 31st! It was really v well spent and there's quite a lot that idw to say here cause it's quite hard to put into words (also cause i'm lazy) but yes i really enjoyed the day :D Besides Andy and Grace who spent New Year's Eve with me i'm also incredibly thankful for many other people/things in my life!! Every year i remind myself to count my blessings haha and it holds for 2016!! Just hoping to really grow this year, mentally and spiritually. And to put aside things which don't matter and to focus on the things which truly add meaning to my life! :) Hehe i think it's definitely achievable :)

1st Jan

YAYY started the day with a family lunch!! Andy came along :D

NEW YEAR NEW HAIR?? I tried curling my hair on my own for the VERY FIRST TIME. And this is the best it looked all day LOL it was actually v v messy :P I didn't learn the right way to curl my hair using a straightener so i just WING-ED IT. Haha this day itself i went to watch a tutorial on YouTube!! :P

The place we wanted to eat at was fully booked so we settled for our fav jap place at Taka!! :)

My dad took this for us!! :) Haha Andy gelled his hair and he looked so good (thumbs up)

After lunch we parted with my fam and i followed Andy to Funan cause he wanted to print pics from 2015 haha. He said he's lazy to write a journal and stuff so he just wants to remember stuff using pictures! Haha that's a good alternative i guess although the effect of actually penning down your thoughts can't be achieved through photos :P

Then at 5.30pm we went to meet Ws!! Haha chilled here before going to collect his pictures. He printed like 60+ photos :O He wanted more initially but too many alr so he had to cut down haha.

Met Ws at Tiong and later on Nicky decided to join us!! :) He had duty the prev night so he woke up damn late and didn't reply us at first haha.

YAY Nicky joined us then we walked to this bak kuh teh place!! IT WAS SO GOOD. But i was damn full afterwards omg. Haha subsequently Nicky had to go off for duty (again) so the 3 of us went to Harbourfront to get smth for dessert. Andy just bought from KOI, Ws bought llao llao and i got Boost haha. Ended up sitting at the open space on the top floor (i forgot what it's called) for awhile before leaving! :) It was like Ws replaced Raymond cause the 3 of us were like spending quality time tgt hahaha so we snapped Raymond and he arrogantly said "WS CAN NEVER REPLACE ME + smirk emojis" LOL. DAMN FUNNY :P Hehe then we made our way :)

2nd Jan

I'M ALMOST DONE. Hehe second day of 2016 was well spent too!! I just feel a bit sad cause i haven't been spending that much time with my family lately :( It's cause Andy booked out then i just spent all my time with him haha. Oh well i must really juggle relationships properly!! (i'm not sure what's the right way to phrase this lol)

I tried curling my hair again haha and yay it looked so much better!! BUT IT WAS TOO CURLY. So i tried clipping up a section of my hair first haha. But afterwards i decided to just let it fall naturally cause i figured the curls will loosen up after awhile!

Hehe we met Ws and Keyun for brunch!! :) HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME. It took us awhile to get to "One Man Coffee" haha and when we finally found the place it was quite packed so we had to wait for really long. But we entertained ourselves with a new game Ky introduced to us!! IT'S CALLED PSYCH. I love it it's super fun hehe. It's a pretty simple game but somehow still exciting and fun :D Hehe so we had a lot of fun playing that then after maybe 30-45 mins we finally got table!!

THEIR FOOD IS V AFFORDABLE that's why Ky chose this place for us hehe

I was being a cheapo so i just ordered this $7 4-cheese sandwich haha. It was really yummy but toos small!!

WS' DISH WAS REALLY GOOD. But i'm sick of eggs alr haha

Handsome boy gelled his hair again and he finally fixed the button on this shirt!! I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I SAW IT. Hahaha he likes to wear it with the second button unbuttoned so it looks kinda weird and cheesy?? Omg now i'm finally okay with him wearing this shirt HAHA.

Haha we sat there and talked till 3+ then we decided to go to my house!! :) Ws wanted to challenge my bro to FIFA haha cause they both play and they support diff teams!

I was damn blur LOL when we first reached my house the guard asked for my unit number and i couldn't tell him HAHAHA. I legit didn't know what was our unit number :P LOL i had to like go out of the car and check SO EMBARRASSING :O I called my mom but she didn't pick up :( Haha oh well so yeah everyone was really amused by me.

SOO my bro was home yay so they could challenge each other and it was damn fun watching them!! We were all rooting for my bro HAHAHA poor Ws. The v first game my bro won him 2-NIL :O Subsequently i think Ws got used to the controllers and stuff so he started winning my bro hahaha aww.

HEHE SO EXCITING

Haha my bro wasn't sad at all that he lost though i think he really had fun!! :) Ky has a good impression of my bro now haha cause he went up to shake their hands and stuff when they first came :P And she said she thinks he's nice haha. While they were playing Andy and Ky were trying to order pizza for our board games session later on! It was quite difficult but they managed to settle everything eventually :D Soo at 6ish Ws kindly drove us to St's house haha. He wasn't going cause of some reasons which i shan't talk about but yeap it was nice of him to send us there! :)

Hehe got there and started playing PSYCH which whoever was there!! Think everyone really enjoyed the game :D With a lot of people playing it gets v confusing haha but it just makes it more fun!! YAY then when more people came we started playing Saboteur!! But halfway we stopped cause our pizza came hehe. 

Somehow Saboteur was really fun omg. It's actually quite a chill game but somehow it became v fun and entertaining!!

SNAP. YAY PRISTINE WENT :) Quite a lot of us could make it :D

Friends since 2013 yay

After Saboteur we played Avalon and i was quite blur hahaha. I think i only won the v last round!! The spies kinda just gave up LOL. But the previous rounds were so intense and the spies were so good!! I was the good guy throughout haha SO YEAP :P I was so blur haha everyone can act so well sia. It's really so difficult to decide who you can trust :O 

YAY THEN WE MOVED ON TO PICTURE-TAKING. St brought her camera so we just took all these using self-timer :)

LOOK AT ANDY

This was a pretty random idea but it turned out alright haha

After this Sammi and Shiuan left followed by Pristine!! So we just chilled here for awhile longer until security came to chase us away haha. Then Ky, Zi Yuan and Gerald left so the rest of us went outside to sit and chat for awhile :) Haha then at 11+ the guard got fed up with us and chased us away again :P So no choice had to leave!! But i enjoyed talking with them :) Andy and i just cabbed home! Omg he chugged down rum at the end and he got damn red and light-headed :O I was genuinely worried for him haha he said his whole body was red too. I drank a LITTLE BIT of vodka but it's really strong so my whole body was red too?! :O SO SCARY. We really can't drink sia. Haha wild life not for us i guess.

Yeap so the day went really well :) Today Andy and I just spent some time to ourselves before his book-in and before i resume school :( Not really looking forward to this sem but i shall just do my best as usual :) Hehe i'll try to blog tmr if i can!! ANYWAY just wanted to mention that i really like my new house :D I'm adjusting well and more importantly i can sleep pretty well here :) Hopefully it continues haha. Alright that's all for now then!! IT'S GONNA BE 1. Thankfully my lesson is only at 11 tmr hehe. CYA SOON :)
