HEY THERE, THIS IS MY FIRST BLOG POST OF THE YEAR!! No the world didn't end, i'm so thankful for yet another year to live, laugh and love (haha this might sound familiar to you). Okay, this post is on how i spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! :) I'll blog about 2012 in a later post, once my computer is fixed haha (all my pictures are in there), it's gonna be sent for repair soon! :)
(New Year's Eve)
It just so happened that both my siblings had activities on that day. I was mildly shocked tbh, Sylvie went out with her friends while Dan attended a birthday party at Wild Wild Wet! Yeap, i didn't want to be the odd one out (not really) so i asked Grace whether she wanted to watch Les Mis, like for real hahaha. We booked the tickets in advance :) Met at Holland V Mrt and then we went to Vivo!
We both agreed to wear dresses yay! This was the dress that Pearl bought me haha

Fast food for lunch how great. I was somehow craving for Long John Silver's and she was like fine with anything so we started looking for it! Took us awhile but we finally found the place yay. Oh btw we collected the tickets first before eating!
Took some photos before entering the cinema! We were looking around at random shops first and i passed her her Christmas present, it's a wallet i got from Far East! :) Haha decided to get her a wallet cause she was using her old one ever since Sec two or smth. Yay i'm so glad that she likes it! :)
We actually kept tissue paper in our bags cause we were so prepared to cry hahaha. The first half of the movie wasn't much of a tear-jerker, hmm we were like waiting for the super sad scenes to arrive lol. They only came towards the end and that was when i started crying almost uncontrollably! Haha i needed the tissue to blow my nose omg. Some scenes were just really moving! I was surprised that Anne Hathaway made such a short appearance, didn't think that her character would die so early lol so i thought that her death was fake :P Anyway I enjoyed listening to the cast sing but didn't know that they would sing ALL THE WAY. They hardly spoke to one another normally haha. According to Grace, the singing is better in the actual musical haha but i wouldn't know cause i've never seen it. I think their singing is good enough lah! They're more of actors than singers i guess. Yeap, overall a really great movie :)
We left the cinema and started entering some other random shops to look at clothes and stuff. Haha didn't buy anything cause we didn't have a lot of money! Ended up leaving at about 5 plus? Lol it rained and i left my umbrella at home so i ended up having to buy one (the quality was quite lousy). Her mom came to pick us up and she dropped me off at Buona Vista MRT! My mom didn't wanna drive us to MBS to watch the fireworks (said this earlier), soo i went there with Pearl's family! Yeah it was okay with her mom. Both my siblings had dinner at the friends' houses so i headed over to Pearl's for dinner! While i was BV Pearl was at Bugis so i hung around BV for awhile to wait for her, so we could go to her house together. Lol Star Vista is so damn boringg. There was absolutely nothing for me to do there, oh gosh i ended up buying ice-cream haha.
Finally she arrived at BV and we took the train the Bukit Batok, her dad picked us up from the mrt. Then he picked up Crystal (Pearl' sister) from tuition and we were on our way to their house for dinner! Her whole family was there but it didn't feel the least bit awkward (usually i'd be there with Sotong), which is a very good thing! :) I think it's cause i'm alr quite familiar with everyone in her family. After eating, Pearl went to shower and i tried so hard to convince her to wear a dress! She wanted to re-wear her clothes but i was very against it so yeah she ended up wearing smth else, although it wasn't a dress haha. Yay i got to play Audi for a little bit! :) Seriously can't wait for my computer to get fixed oh gosh. Yeap, left the house at about 9 plus and we headed over to mbs. Stopped to pick up Pearl's cousin (so-called cousin, complicated story), Eya, who came along! She's 10 and is so cute and sweet haha.

Unfortunately there weren't any parking lots left at mbs so we went to Marina Square! Went to this food court and afterwards Pearl, Austin (her brother) and I went to get drinks from McCafe (is this how you spell it). Then we met up with the rest of her family and went to this spot right here! WE GOT A PERFECT VIEW OF THE FIREWORKS :) Apparently this is where they always come to watch it.

FIREWORKS!! These photos are nothing compared to the actual thing, totally incomparable i would say.
As i mentioned on Instagram, it was 'stunningly beautiful'! I was in so much shock and amazement by the end of it. What a way to start the new year! :)
Look at the number of people leaving Marina!! Walked through this whole mass of people to get to the car lol it was insane. Along the way we could see people shouting and screaming like they went berserk or smth lol.
We went to Tiong Barhu Plaza for supper!!
There were just too many cars haha i could see why my mom was so reluctant to drive there
Ate Macs for supper haha it was like 1am! Yay my mom was fine with me staying out that late, probably cause i was with Pearl's family and not just friends! It was Pearl, her siblings, Eya and I in one table while her parents sat elsewhere cause there wasn't enough space. It was fun talking about random/very lame stuff, Eya kept getting made fun of lol but she didn't seem to mind haha. Omg guess what, Pearl's mom went to the toilet on her own and she said that she heard someone snoring! A cleaner probably fell asleep in one of the cubicles or smth lol, there wasn't anyone else there haha it must have been quite freaky. As we were leaving Tiong Barhu Plaza, Crystal, Eya and I went to take a look, we stayed silent for like 2 secs (there was like dead silence) and suddenly we heard the snores hahaha. We got quite freaked out and dashed out of the toilet like immediately. SO FUNNY LOL. Kay then they sent me home and Pearl's mom walked me right up to my doorstep cause it was like 2 plus by then! Yeap so that's it! :) My entire family was sound asleep by then haha. Thanks Pearl (and your family) for the great time, I loved every bit of it! :)

(NEW YEAR'S DAY)
Got up at about 10.15am, although i slept later than 3am! I have no idea how that happened haha. We met our grandparents and uncle for lunch at Taka! :) My cousin's family and my aunty are all overseas so they couldn't be there to join us, oh well. We ate at Crystal Jade ohmygosh it was so crowded there! My mom probably booked the table in advance. Kay so here are some of photos we took :)

SYLVIE, DAN AND I :) Walked around by myself after we were done eating, got to take a look at some clothes again! :) We went home soon after. My mom dropped me home while my siblings went to get their hair cut haha. Spent the rest of my day watching tape and just relaxing! So that's about it :)
Sylvie's gonna start the first day of secondary school tmr, i'm feeling quite nervous for her! She's going to CHIJ St Teresa's btw. I can still rmb the first day of sec school like it was yesterday, seriously! Crazy how time flies. Haha luckily for Sylvie she has a primary friend who's going to the same sch and she's coming over to our house first thing in the morning so that they can go to sch together! Kinda feel like going back to school too, hasn't quite hit me that i'm no longer a secondary 4 student.
I'm very excited to see what God has in store for me this year! I'm aware that many things are going to change. Meanwhile, i'm also feeling extremely nervous about getting my O Level results. 8 points seems pretty impossible, no but with God all things are possible! Yeap I just have to keep the faith :) I'm probably gonna create a new blog just so you know, but i'm definitely not gonna delete any of my old posts :) Haha kay then, Pearl is waiting for me to finish off this post so that she can have the photos, she wants to blog too! Wow i spent so long on this! HAHA CYA THEN, HAVE A GREAT YEAR AHEAD EVERYONE :)
