One step at a time

Hey there gonna talk about the open houses now! And some other stuff lah haha. So i went to ACJC's open house these people just a day before we collected our 'O' Level results. I wanted to take 74 to ACJC cause it's a direct bus there. Sadly i missed it TWICE bceause it was completely full. I was super annoyed haha, imagine waiting for so long just to see the bus you're boarding zoom past you TWICE. Ending up cabbing there hahaha, it's 24 stops and i didn't want to be late!

At that point i really wanted to enter acjc because i felt that we would all be able to get there! And these are friends whom i really hold close to my heart!! Kay moreover, the performances really impressed me! The band sounded great and dance society omg?!!? SO GOOD. Watching ACsian theatre made me wanna join theatre even more! I really didn't know what i wanted to join! Then i just assumed that i would be able to enter ACJC, without appealing or whatsoever. Anyway i gave AC band my name, contact number and stuff in case i decide to join band. And they invited me to attend their practice (which was the following day) to see how it's like, also to increase my chances of getting into AC if i were to appeal. Cause a 30-minute audition won't be able to showcase my full potential, so it's like they can see how i do during practices to determine if i'm good enough! Didn't go on Thursday but yeah i did go today (gonna talk about it soon)!

After the open house Nic and I had nothing left to do so we decided to head to town! Didn't have a lot of money with me hahah but whatever. Went to Far East and as you can see, Ion! Had dinner at Food Republic and we ordered fried kuay teow once again YAY.

(Yesterday)

Went to Nanyang and CJC's open house. Met Nic, Grace L, Min Li, Divya, Tanny, Wen-Yi and Chen Yan at Lorong Chuan mrt station. Pearl wanted to go to Nanyang too so i met her there as well. We were just walking behind haha didn't want it to be awkward cause she doesn't really know my secondary school friends. It was so happening at Nanyang! However the performances (imo) definitely can't compare to AC's.  They weren't as organised too haha okay don't mean to compare. Afterwards, Grace, Pearl and I headed to CJC for their open house. Nic wanted to see TJ so she didn't go. And some others went to AJ!

Yeap okay took a train to Bishan mrt and had KFC for lunch at Junction 8. Hahah it wasn't awkward, both of them are friendly people lah. Then Pearl's mom offered to give us a lift from Jurong 8 to CJ, she wanted to see the school for herself! Compared to Nanyang, CJ was quite dead lol. It could be because we went a bit late, not sure. Watched some performances, like guitar ensemble and dance society. Lol their dancing, compared to AC's is just mediocre!! Oh but apparently they got Gold for SYF wow. We received a guided tour around the school, first time we decided to have a proper tour haha. CJ's campus is huge! The school's not bad lah, but i think Nanyang's better. Pearl's planning on applying to Nanyang, yeap i think that's the right decision. Left at 5 plus? My mom picked me! Anyway so Nic went to TJ's open house right, SHE LOVED IT. She think she'll fit in better there so AC wasn't her first choice haha, TJ was! Happy for her, that she could come to such a confident decision :)

My mom drove to SMSS to pick Sylvie up (it was the day of CCA fair) and the place was seriously jammed up! Lol Sylvie was really traumatised cause she said that everyone kept forcing her to join their CCAs. And it was really chaotic and stuff! I told her that's how it is every year hahaha, aww man i miss St Margs. Anyway, we went home, got changed and went to One degree fifteen for dinner! My dad picked us up, met my aunty, uncle and grandmother there :) Yeap daddy kept emphasising that studies aren't that important lol, maybe cause he succeeded in life with just an 'O' Level cert. Went home at about 9 plus!

(TODAYY)

Yes so how exactly was ac's band practice! Erm it was alright, didn't go terribly but i wouldn't say that it was amazing or anything. It just felt like band! BAND.ALL.OVER.AGAIN. I'm not sure if i want to spend like 14 hours a week doing the same old thing i've been doing the past 9 years. Band is actually quite boring. The people are nice but i feel quite inferior to them tbh :( There are two people who DSA-ed and my gosh they're so good. I struggled but okay that's not a reason for me to not join band. Because it's only the first practice and i'll definitely get better. Still, i really think it's time for me to join something new. Right now i'm not so sure if i wanna enter ACJC. Maybe SA would be a better choice. I'm still going to their practice on Monday, we'll see what happens!

It ended at about 5 plus but Mr Alvin wanted to talk to us and some of the comm members talked to us too, to explain the appeal process and stuff. Anyway Mr Alvin isn't that fierce, from what i've seen so far. But i think he's just being nice to the sec 4s lol, cause he doesn't want to scare us off :P I was honestly quite scared that he would pin-point me for my mistake or smth. Oh he said some pretty mean things about SMSB, like when he saw me he was like "haix, polka dots againn", LOL. He made it seem like we were totally hopeless, but he was only joking lah. Kay so i took the train to Bugis and met Nic for dinner! Just felt like i needed a friend to talk to haha, after an intensive day of band prac in a completely different enviroment. We ate at the food court, bought Gong Cha and walked around aimlessly, just talking. There was quite a lot to talk about haha! Oh i bumped into my Chem tutor at the food court! Was very happy to tell him that i got A1 for Science, he looked pleased yay. Ended up going home by cab yeap, i was completely broke and my phone had only 1% of battery left as i was otw home!

ALRIGHT DONE. I can't believe it's 2am haha. Going to Sher's church tmr! Pretty excited :) Aww man around two more days to decide what school i want to apply for. All of a sudden i really don't feel like joining band again. There was really nothing wrong the practice, it went quite well. Just that, i'm not that interested in band anymore! And i'd have to spend A LOT of time in band if i join. Will discuss this with my mom yeap. Kay cya then :)
